Augustana Lutheran Church is a member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Situated in downtown Edmonton, we wish to be a santcuary of peace and grace in the midst of the business of life, wherein all people are welcome. Trusting in God's grace which is active in our lives, and the Holy Spirit, which guides us forth, we therefore, in solidarity as brothers and sisters in Christ, extend a word of invitation to all people. We offer a place of worship, a place of prayer, a place of community. For in Christ “there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” Thus as we are one, so we open our doors to the community around us in Christian fellowship, knowing that only in love and openness can we truly serve God and each other. |

About Augustana Lutheran Church
Augustana was formed some 70 years ago to serve primarily Swedish immigrants to Edmonton using a house at 107th Street and 99th Avenue. The present building was built by congregational members on the original site a half century ago. Today, Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church answers its calling in many ways as a participant in the Edmonton City Centre Church Corporation and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
